To promote parent/family/community involvement in order

to increase student success.

Parent   Involvement in education means that principals and teachers invite all   parents and families to become involved in schools to help their children   reach success. Strong partnerships connect schools and families in ways that   support children’s success in school and in their future.
Program   Overview
The   Title I Parent Involvement program for parents is meant to:
  • Offer parents training on ways to work with their children at home to improve student success in          school.
  • Offer reading skills and literacy training.
  • Promote active input in their children's schools and education.
  • Explain Title I rules to parents.
  • Involve parents in making local Title I decisions.

School Advisory Council

The School Advisory Council (SAC) is a group of people representing various segments of the community such as parents, teachers, students, administrators, support staff, business partners and community leaders.  The goal of SAC is to help the school develop and implement plans that will help all students succeed.

OHMS Parents, please remember to always update your telephone number and address when they have changed so you can continue to receive your student’s report cards, parent link reminders and important phone calls from teachers and staff.  Please call the front office for instructions on how to get them changed.
