BOYS TO MEN: The Real Man’s Club
Boys to Men

DR. Julia Hare and Dr. Nathan Hare, renowned psychologist in a book titled “Bringing the Black Boy to Manhood: Passage” investigate why many young men in the USA don’t have any idea what is expected of them as a man, this is called The Rite of Passage. Rite of passage is a ritual event that marks a person's transition from one status to another. Rites of passage explore and describe various notable milestones in an individual's life, for any marked transitional stage, when one's social status is altered.

The Real Man’s Club is for middle school boys between the age of 12 and 14 years of age. The intent is to teach leadership, community responsibility and encourage academic achievement, therefore establishing a “Rite of Passage”.
