What's Happening Around OHMS

Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to Oak Hammock Middle School! It is an honor to serve my community as the principal of Oak Hammock Middle, and I am grateful to work with the best staff and students in Lee County. I believe all students can be successful, and it is my goal to provide support to the staff, students, and families. The teachers at OHMS care about their students and focus on the mastery of high standards, preparing students to be creative thinkers, problem solvers, and visionaries of their future.

My staff and I are committed to providing an academically focused environment through arts integration and globally minded challenges, empowering each student to reach his or her highest potential. My vision for Oak Hammock Middle School is to continue to provide premiere classes in the arts and a rigorous academic program.

Oak Hammock Middle School is proud to announce we are entering the implementation phase of the International Baccalaureate Programme (IB), which enables students the opportunity to earn high school credit in both foreign language and mathematics. The International Baccalaureate Programme is a challenging framework that encourages students to make practical connections between their studies and the real world. Students who complete the IB Programme are well-prepared to undertake the IB Diploma Programme in high school.

I look forward to building a strong partnership with you and your family! Together we can ensure your child will achieve at high levels. Please stop by anytime and say hello. Go Ospreys!

Ms. Jennifer McMillan
