Julia Perez,
8th Grade Counselor

Hi, I'm Ms. Perez! I was born and raised in Washington Heights, New York City and have been living in Florida for 7 years.  I graduated from John Jay college of Criminal Justice with a Bachelor's in Forensic Psychology and a minor in Criminology.  I then went on to earn my Master's degree from the University of Scranton in School Counseling.

I worked as a clinician/psychotherapist for 8 years prior to officially working as a school counselor.  This will be my 5th year as a school counselor.  At the Oak, I have had the pleasure to work with a diverse group of students and staff.  I love it here!

As a school counselor, my goal is to help motivate and encourage students to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally in order to achieve their fullest potential.  I am super thankful and excited to continue this journey with my students.  Anything I can do to help, I am always here.  Please do not hesitate to contact me.
