Oak Hammock offers a before school fee-based program. Students not registered in this program may not be on campus prior to 9:15.  Please read through the information guide for parents below for more details.

Objective: The staff at OHMS is operating a Student Before School Program. This program will provide parents an opportunity for their child/children to arrive on campus at 6:30am and be in an atmosphere which is safe, orderly, and productive. Some of the activities available are as follows: homework help, computers, games, socialization, sports & recreation, and helping staff and teachers (must be approved by the Director).

Program Dates/Time: Before school Monday – Friday 6:30am – 9:15am. There is no program when children are out of school for teacher duty days, In-Service days, and all district observed holidays including winter break and spring break.

Registration: A $25.00 non-refundable registration fee will be charged per child. A registration form must be completed for each child attending The Osprey Nest Program (available in the office).

Student Fees: $7.00 daily per child or $35.00 per week. Payment is due every Monday for that week. All fees for The Osprey Nest MUST be pre-paid. Your child may not attend the following week if payment was not received for the previous week. The Lee County
School Board does not extend credit for payment of services. Please adjust your budget in order to pay for this service on Monday. Cash and/or check are accepted. Non-payment of fees will result in dismissal from the program. Please put your child’s first and last name on the check and make it payable to: Oak Hammock Middle School.

Payment/Credit: Payment is due prior to attending. If payment is more than two weeks delinquent, we reserve the right to dismiss your child/children from the program. If you have a credit balance at the end of the school year, a credit refund must be requested in writing. You may use your credit for next year only at this school. If you do not request a credit refund prior to the start of the next school year your credit will be zeroed out and child removed from the attendance list. Please pay promptly.

Insufficient Funds: All returned checks are subject to a $25.00 service fee. The amount of the returned check plus the $25.00 service fee must be paid in cash or money order. Further payments for The Osprey Nest will not be accepted until receipt of the aforementioned payment.

Signing In Students: The “Open Door Policy” only applies if your account is paid for the week. If you carry a negative balance, you will be required to sign-in your child daily in the front office. Once your account has posted in the positive, the “Open Door Policy” will only then apply. There will be no exception to this rule.
