The Osprey Nest Before & After School Programs

The Ospreys before-care is designed to provide a supervised environment for Oak Hammock Middle School students before 9:00 a.m. The program operates from 6:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. All students dropped off before 9:00 a.m. must be enrolled in the Ospreys Before School Program. To ensure the safety of our students and staff, students are not able to hang around on campus before 9:00 a.m. The aftercare program is designed for students who need supervision and are not staying for tutoring or after-school clubs. Aftercare runs from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. 

If you wish to enroll your child in one or both of these programs, please send your completed registration form and $25.00 for one child/$40.00 per family registration fee to the school. Registration fees are non-refundable. School District Employees' children are eligible to receive up to 50% off. The costs that your child incurred (registration fees and daily charges) may be tax-deductible. A receipt will be issued every time money is turned into the school during the previous calendar year for a possible child care deduction. 

The cost of the program is a flat rate of $55.00 for Before Care per week, and $30.00 for After Care per week that your child attends. Payments must always be made before the week begins. A $10.00 late fee will be assessed for any payments made after Friday. We accept cash, checks (made out to Oak Hammock Middle School), and cards. If writing a check, please add your child’s name on the check. The Lee County School District does not extend credit to these types of Programs. Three (3) late payments will result in dismissal from the program. There is a $25.00 charge for all returned checks. Students NOT picked up from the aftercare program by 6:00 pm will be charged $1.00 for each additional minute after 6:00 pm. 

Students enrolled in the Osprey Program must adhere to the District Code of Conduct and the rules of Oak Hammock Middle School. Students will be in the cafeteria before care and must stay seated. They will be able to use their Chromebooks, talk with their classmates, and participate in activities provided by the before-care supervisor. Violations of school rules may result in students being removed from the program. Students are not to leave the cafeteria without permission. Students in the aftercare program will be with an adult in a classroom. 

The school clinic will not be open until 9:15 am. All necessary medications must be administered at home or in the clinic after 9:15 am.
